Don’t worry, Mom

When my son was about nine, I collected him from school to hear a long tale of woe. Another boy had bullied him – pushed him around, called him names. I was pretty upset, and said we would need to make an appointment to visit the school.

“Don’t worry Mom”, was the response, “I’ve already filled in a bully form.”

The fact that he knew what to do, and had dealt with it without me, and was not traumatised, was amazing.
